Notes: Isaac Dawson was age 32 in the 1820 US Census for Brown County, Ohio. His age based on dob 1788 Maryland in 1850 US Census for Kosciusko Co. Ind. His wife, Mary Dawson, was in a younger age category: probably closer to age 25 than age 16. Couple had 2 sons and one daughter in 1820. Total: three children. Sons: Daniel Dawson b. c1813 in Delaware at age 7; David Dawson b. c1819 in Ohio at age 1. Dob for sons based on 1850 US Census. Daughter was probably Elizabeth Dawson who married ? Webb and moved to Illinois by 1853 as noted in Kos. Co Ind. lawsuit. Elizabeth Dawson Webb as the oldest daughter based on Nancy Dawson Kyle, wife of Isaac Kyle, as middle daughter with residence in Ohio by 1853; while Mary Dawson Rose, was one of the younger daughters, who after marriage to Aaaon Rose resided in Kos. Co Ind. by 1853.

Mary Dawson, first wife, had died Aug. 17, 1827, in Brown County, Ohio. Isaac J. Dawson (age 42) had married (2nd) Anna Riley (age 25) on June 19, 1830 in Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio. His second wife, Anna/Joanna Riley Dawson was listed on 1830 US Census in age category 20-30. Couple had nine children in household: 5 sons and 4 daughters.
Five sons: Daniel Dawson, age 17, b. c1813 Del.; David Dawson, age 11, b. c1819 Ohio; Unknown son (of Mary Dawson) age 7, b. c1823 Ohio ; William Dawson abt. age 5 (b. c1825); William Riley (step-son) at age 3 (b. 1837).

Dawson & Ann Riley together in marriage according to law, Oath of Applicant, Daniel Dillman, June 19, 1830."

Note #1: "Marriage Return" copied by Pat Donaldson as Davidson (sic), but license records listed Dawson. John L. Dawson of Benton, Ky., searched deeds in Brown Co OH. No deed for Isaac Davidson was found, nor was an Isaac Davidson found on 1820-1830 US Census. We concluded Isaac J. Dawson is the correct spelling of the groom's surname. Age of the groom (age 42) on the 1830 marriage record fits with the age on the 1820-1830 Census for Isaac J. Dawson.
Note #2: Daniel Dillman of Brown Co Ohio, was groom's witness to marriage of Isaac J. Dawson. Hannh Dillman mar. Michael Sells 28 Sept 1820 in Brown Co Ohio. Benjamin Sells family settled near Feesburg, Lewis Twp, Brown Co. Sells originated in Penn., came to Ky., crossed Ohio River to settle at mouth of Bullskin Creek, Clermont Co, finally settled in Feesburg from 1818 to 1837. On 1820 Census, Benjamin Sells lived 12 "doors" from Isaac Dawson; but on 1830 Census, Benjamin Sells lived "next door" to Isaac Dawson.
