*Thomas Helm (1727-c1777) son of Meredith Helm Sr. and wife Ann (Meredith?), mar. Margaret Neill and lived on a large tract of land at Opeckon Creek nr the Neill family and his brother Meredith Helm. Margaret Neill, d/o John Neill and Ann Hollingsworth, was b. 1723, d. 23 Aug 1813.
**Elizabeth Hutchison was the 2nd wife of Joseph Helm, s/o Thos. & Margaret Neill Helm. She died 10 May 1834 in Lincoln Co Ky. She and Joseph Helm had eight children, the last being Meredith b. 1796. Joseph & Susanna Gaines had 12 more children; Joseph Helm had 21 children total.
**Capt. William Helm lived at Helm's Hill in Jefferson Co (W) Va. He was in the Rev. army and decorated for gallantry. He resided in Shelby Co Ky. in the late 1700s and early 1800s. He drowned in the Mississippi River in 1806. His second wife, Agnes Pickett Helm, was d/o Capt. Wm. Pickett of Rev army and wife Lucy Blackwell Green, widow of Moses Green. Agnes Pickett Helm and two children of first wife, Eliz. & Thos. Helm, returned to Va. to her father's house after death of her husband.

John Helm Sr. was born August 11, 1750, in Loudoun Co Va. He married first wife (name unknown ) and had five children:
(a) John Helm Jr b. c1772. (b) Charles Helm (c) Meredith Helm d. c1788 (d) Margaret "Peggy" Helm mar. Josiah Herbert c1792 (e) Ann Helm mar. (John?) Milbourn.
John Helm married (2) Sarah Gordon, widow of Robert Gordon (d. bef. May 1779).
Robert Gordon's estate appraisal dated May 1779 (Loudoun Co Will Bk B:332). He left slaves, farm and household items to his wife, Sarah Gordon, and his two daughters: Susanna Gordon Shanks, wife of Robert Shanks, and Letticia Gordon Neill, wife of William Neill.

Margaret "Peggy" Helm Herbert, second wife of Josiah Herbert, and Meredith Helm (d. bef. 1787) were brother and sister, siblings of John Helm and his first wife. Josiah Herbert, therefore, was brother-in-law of Meredith Helm whose estate Josiah Herbert administered Dec 10, 1792. Josiah Herbert, therefore, married Margaret Helm before Dec. 1792, date of administration of Meredith Helm's estate.
John Helm Jr. b. c1771 mar. Mary Joanna Harbourt (b. July 10, 1770 Loudoun Co Va.; d. c1748), daughter of Peter & Mary Harbourt of Berkeley Co Va. John Helm died c1843 in Shelby Co Ky. and is buried in Flat Rock Cemetery, Shelby Co Ky. Couple had five, maybe six children: (a) John Helm (b) Mary "Polly" Helm (c) Peter Helm (c) Zylpha Helm (d) Meredith Helm (e) Thomas Helm b. c1798. William Helm may be a 6th child, but remains unproven.
Thomas Helm, s/o John Helm Jr., was born c1798. He died 1833. He mar. Pauline Gosney, dau of Wm Gosney and Ruth McQuinn abt. 1822. Pauline Gosney died c1840. They had the following children: (a) Martha Ann Helm b. 12 Dec 1825 Shelby Co Ky. d. c1846 (b) Robert Anderson Helm b. 4 Aug 1827 Shelby Co Ky. d. c1841 (c) James William Helm (d) John Helm (e) Thomas Fielding Helm.

Origin of the Hutchison Family: Joseph Hutchison was b. 14 Mar 1722/23 in Loudoun Co Va. He mar. Elizabeth Grey (b. c1735) in Loudoun Co Va. Joseph was s/o Andrew Hutchison b. 13 Mar 1686 of British heritage and his wife was Jane Browning of Nomini Forest, Westmoreland Co, Va. Joseph inherited Jane Browning's property from her father, and purchased and patented large tracts in Loudoun Co Va. Andrew Hutchison deeded 500 a. to his son Joseph Hutchison from a grant of 1000 a. Joseph Hutchison's daughter, Sarah Hutchison, was b. 24 Feb 1755 in Loudoun Co Va. She is pos. first wife of Josiah Herbert. Sarah Hutchison predeceased her father, Joseph Hutchison, who will was dated 1804. Hutchison's were Baptist deacons in Ketoctin Baptist Church and North Fork Baptist Church in North Fork (hamlet), Loudoun Co Va.
Origins of the Reeder Family: Joseph Reeder II, progenitor, was b. c1695 Newtown, Long Island, New York. Joseph L. Reeder III, his son, mar. Sarah Gano in Hopewell, Hunterdon Co NJ. Joseph L. Reeder (b. c1716 Long Island, d. 1770 Loudoun Co Va.) children were born in Hunterdon Co New Jersey. Joseph Reeder IV mar. Anna Huff in NJ, and removed to Loudoun Co Va. His oldest daughter, Sarah Reeder b. 29 June 1763, mar. Andrew W. Milbourn in Loudoun Co Va. and removed to Columbiana Co, Ohio. Reeder's were Presbyterian.
Origins of the Milbourn Family: Andrew W. Milbourn's (mar. Sarah Reeder) father was Andrew Milbourn of Haddonfield, Camden Co, NJ, who mar. Sarah ? in Frederick Co Va. and removed to Greene Co, Tenn. Andrew W. Milbourn was b. 2 Oct 1763 in Chester Twp, Burlington Co, NJ, d. 9 Apr 1837 Columbiana Co, Ohio. His brother, John Milbourn, was b. 13 June 1787 Frederick. John Milbourn wais pos. husband of Ann Helm whose son John Milbourn was mentioned in father John Helm's will in 1807. William Milbourn, s/o John & Mary Milbourn of Burlington Co NJ, mar. Methia Hutchison on June 1787 in Frederick Co Va. and removed to Milburn, Greene Co, Tenn. Milbourn's were originally Quaker in NJ, although some of the family became Baptists in Frederick/Loudoun Co Va.
