Notley Warren (1736-1768) was a son of Barton Warren. He was born in William & Mary Parish about 1736 inasmuch as he declared himself to be 32 years of age on January 1768. He married Sarah, maiden name unknown. The couple had three children: (1) Sarah Warren mar. Robert Massey May 3, 1783, in Wm & Mary Par. (2) Charity Warren b. Nov 1765 mar. John Briscoe (3) Joanna Warren mar. Robert Rogers.

On March 15, 1758, Notley Warren and Thos. Dutton were sureties for Mary Maddox, executrix of Notley Maddox, late of Chas. Co.

The will of Notley Warren was dated July 19, 1768, and proved Oct. 29, 1768. He bequeathed his wife Sarah the entire estate, but in event of her remarriage, her dower right. The unnamed daughters were to have their share at marriage. He appointed his brother John Warren and friends Stephen Compton & Joseph Joy as trustees. His wife and friend Major Zachariah Bond were named executors. (Md Wills Liber 36:646)

The bond of the executrix, Sarah Warren, was dated Oct. 29, 1768, with bondsmen:  John Warren, Stephen Compton & William Maddox. The inventory was filed Jan. 28, 1769 with John Warren & Edw. Warren as kinsmen. By 1770, the widow had married (2) James Maddox. On Mar. 20, 1771, they both filed an account with the court. The final distribution of 708.0.4 pds was made by James Maddox. (Test.
