Thomas Dawson Sussex Co planter to Abnor Dill Kent Co taylor: Deed dated January 18, 1787
Deed. Abnor Dill from Thomas Dawson. This Indenture made the eighteenth day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty-seven by and between Thomas Dawson of Sussex Co in the state of Delaware, planter, and Ann his wife of one part and Abnor Dill of Kent Co state of Delaware, Taylor, of the other part. Witnesses that the afsd Thomas Dawson for & in consideration of sum of 50 pounds 5 shillings to Thomas Dawson in hand paid by Abnor Dill before sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Dawson hereby ackn. to the said Abnor Dill a certain tract lying in Sussex Co near Marshahope Bridge, part of a tract sold by Joseph Godwin being part of the property of Zachery Nicols to Thomas Dawson by deed dated 7 May 1783 (recorded in Liber N-13 f. 508) being part of the tract taken up by Marmaduke Story Sr. surveyed 1752 and bought by afsd Zachary Nicols as appears by a bond for conveyance of same dated 11 April 1758 near Marshope Bridge, 33 acres.

Be it remembered that Ann Dawson the wife of Thomas Dawson, one of the parties to this within deed of bargain & sale, came before me the subscriber judge of the Court of Common Pleas & being duly examined separate & apart from her husband does pronounce publish & declare that she did sign & execute this deed at her own will & according to the witness said was out of any trust informs her husband, given on my hand & seal this 18th day of Jan 1787. I hereby certify that on the 8th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty seven the execution of the within deed was proved by the Oath of John Laws, one of the sbscribing evidences thereto and ackn. in open court in due form of law by *David Train attorney for that person within appointed unto the grantee within named in testimonry whereof I have herewith set my hand & affixed the public seal of my office this 20th day of February 1787.
